Remote Yiewer
Remote Yiewer is for teachers and students, stores, and much more. A phone, iPad, or Windows PC watches a Mac. It does not click, type, or move the pointer.
Open Remote Yiewer on the Mac. It shows a permanent 8-character code, like A7K2 M9QP, and you choose a 4-digit PIN. That number stays with that Mac. The viewer needs both the number and the PIN.
In a classroom
A teacher puts the Mac number and PIN on the board. Students open the screen on their phones and can pinch-zoom into the board, a slide, or a small diagram. They cannot control the teacher's Mac.
In a store
A person at the counter or in the back can watch the office or register Mac without taking it over.
When someone needs a closer look
A workshop, a training room, a clinic front desk, or a family member can see the screen and look closer, without remote control. On a phone or iPad, two fingers pinch around the place you want to see. On Windows, the mouse wheel or a two-finger pinch does the same, and you can drag to look around while zoomed.
Mac installers downloaded — times. Windows installer downloaded — times.
The Mac installer is a full setup wizard. It removes the previous Remote Yiewer app first. The Mac number and PIN stay on that Mac. Screen Recording stays required. The Windows installer does the same kind of wizard for the viewer.
iPhone and iPad builds are on TestFlight. The viewer is view-only on every device.
